New read – can’t wait to dive in! He gives the ‘motto’ of the book in the introduction, “in the beginning was embodied sociality, whose icon is Pablo Picssso’s youthful 1921 painting entitled ‘mother and child’ as the beginning of the child’s life. Indeed, it is the cradle of sociality.'” Pg. 7
So, the cover becomes a frontispiece like Vico’s, an image as a starting point, an image as arche, like the image of the stork the reader shares with the child in Karen blixons story.
